Lean on Him

So often am I overwhelmed that I have no idea what to say to God. I'm too exhausted to speak, but I desperately need Him...To catch me...To let me rest in Him...To let me give my biggest sigh of relief, knowing that He has got me, because of Christ. He does catch us. It is not based on how great our faith is, but how great He is. Simply trust He will catch you. He will. Those moments filled with grace wipe anxiety away like nothing else.

I LOVE this hymn. We sang it in church yesterday morning. Read the text carefully as we remember our Lord Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection this week.

Thankful for many things day by day....for God's unconditional love for us....news of so many friends who are expecting new babies....news of friends who have just had new babies.... news of friends adopting little ones; God's faithfulness to us even in the valleys as well as the mountain peak times.....Worthy is the Lamb of God....news of someone accepting Christ as their personal Savior recently; praying with friends; praising the Lord and being thankful even when God answers prayers in His own timing and in His own way....He has the master blueprint....we can't see His master plan for us.....but we learn to trust Him, yield to Him, surrender to His will for our lives.....He created me for a purpose-whatever He wants me to do-all He gives to me is His and His alone; for His honor and glory. I'm learning to be content-In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus...Oh, to be drawn closer to Him during these days.....kneeling face down on bended knee before God's throne.....Nothing sweeter than to have Christ's love and to know Him more and more everyday. Our life is a vapor that appeareth for a while, then vanishes....

His love and mercy endureth forever!

learning to lean on Jesus

There is a song I used to sing as a child "Learning to Lean on Jesus"--can't remember all the words....but it spoke of going through trials.....always brought you back to focus on Jesus & learning to lean on Him! Jesus is consistently, lovingly reminding me through circumstances in our lives...to lean only on Him. He refines us, getting rid of the dross and ugliness of ourselves, and sitting at His feet filling our minds and hearts with His word and His Spirit! Getting our focus off of ourselves & our neverending storms of life....He only can give peace through the midst of the storm! He gives sweet communion with Himself! He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother!

I'm thankful to be alive...by God's grace! I'm thankful for worship service this morning at church! Thankful for great teaching in Sunday School and preaching in church! Thankful to sing praises to our Savior to honor and glorify His name. Our Sustainer, Friend, Shepherd, Deliverer, Lamb of lambs, Bread of Life, Redeemer, Wonderful Counselor, Bright & Morning Star, Immanuel, Messiah, the Great Physician, Anointed One, The Way. I love you, Lord, you are patient with me.

I'm also thankful for friends who love me inspite of myself.

What a day! I still have alot of growing to do in your word, Lord....Keep me focused on you alone!

Toured a great new Aiken neighborhood today

Toured a current 'green" home under construction with builder Don Cerra in Kings Ridge Subdivision in Aiken this morning. Many agents showed up for the tour and the great lunch afterward. Large acreage homestead sites, gated rustic entrance, upscale, custom living. countryside refuge, equestrian community, ponds, eco-friendly, vista views.

It's great to see new communities....so I can share with all my friends and clients....

Think about a pot of boiling water...Water boils quickly when the flame is high. It boils slowly when the flame is low. Patience "keeps the burner down."...Patience isn't naive. Again, God has been faithful....He will never leave me nor forsake me!!!!!! He feeds the sparrows and the lilies toil not....He knows the hairs on my head....He knows my needs....and I want to give praise, honor, and glory to Him! Just want to praise the Lord for loving me, sustaining me, holding me, making me realize I can do nothing in my own strength....that He is in control.....when I think there is no hope,,,,,,He refines me through the fire......He will love me eternally.....He feeds the sparrows; He is all I need and will ever need. He promises us not to forsake us....He will never leave us...

It is comforting to me and uplifting to me to read all the blogs I follow(when I have time)...busy trying to work and follow up on leads for my work.....thankful for the business God has brought my way....Praise Him for His grace! I am blessed by the blogs and find myself actually smiling when I see the beautiful pictures of your families....the funny things that happen to you....giving God all the glory.....we are all members of God's family....praying for one another....Thank you God for friends.....what a blessing you have been to me.....

I'm thankful tonight(this morning)---can't sleep again....but God will give rest....I'm thankful for God's love and mercy. His grace sustains me. He is my Redeemer, my Comforter, my Creator.

He is our great Creator, Shepherd, Deliverer, our Messiah, our King of Kings.....I'm thankful for all He's given us in nature to enjoy His beauty.

I'm always thankful for each day He gives me....I pray I will be frugal with the time he gives me to live for His honor and glory.

I'm thankful the Lord knows our hearts and desires....not worldly desires, but Kingdom minded desires for our children, especially; for our friends and ministries to the lost who do not know the peace that passes all understanding. Christ is our only hope....and we need to share that and not be so caught up in the daily mundane tasks we have to do....without the vision God gives us.

What a joy to have friends----I love all the blogspots......what a blessing they have been to me...."My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory." Philippians 4:19

Let's keep running the race set before us.....with Him alongside of us...equipping us for His work.

It's 3:52 AM Thursday morning....and I can't sleep....I'm beginning to have nights such as these....but these are some of the most precious times with the Lord....teaching me, molding me, purifying me, and drawing me close to His bosom, feeling his hugs of reassurance that He loves me and will never stop loving me. Psalm 23 "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want,
He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul,
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his names's sake, Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me,
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows,,,Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell
in the house of the Lord forever." Hope in Him is what keeps me going! He only can give peace and joy.....He uses pain in our lives to get our attention back on him.

Have you ever heard that song? Christ is all I need, Christ is all I need, all, all I need; He was crufcified, for me He died, Christ is all, all I need! I sang this song at Camp Hope in Valdosta, GA, when I was only 9 years old...Those were the happest days of my life....Being exposed to the gospel, gospel songs being taught to me at camp, filling my heart which was empty and lonely....Thank you Lord for embracing me and showing mercy and grace to me.
I'm thankful for friends whose lives reflect their love for their Savior and seek daily to serve Him and share the gospel.
